Leonard Han

Born in Carmel, California, Leonard Han, is a native of the Monterey Bay area. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of California Santa Cruz and a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

His experience as a teacher, student and practitioner includes a comprehensive system of Traditional Chinese Qigong approaches to Healing and Self-Transformation brought to America by Master Mantak Chia. He is a certified instructor in the Tai Chi for Arthritis program developed by Dr. Paul Lam.

In addition, he is a 59th Rumen disciple of 19th Generation Grandmaster
Chen Qingzhou, of Xulu Village, Henan Province, China.

He has received Lion Dance Training from Master Siow Fei Hong, 2006 in San Francisco, CA., 2005, June 2005 training in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and in 1999 he trained and traveled with Master Siow for workshops in Lion Dance throughout Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Macao.

Currently he is teaching courses in Tai Chi, Chinese Internal Meditation and Qigong Healing Practices, and Chinese Lion Dance at the Department of Kinesiology, California State University Monterey Bay and the Japanese American Citizens League building in Monterey. He is also the Director and Teacher of the Monterey Bay Lion Dance Team, performing Chinese Hoksaan Lion Dance in community events widely throughout the Central Coast areas of California.

His training and study include travel to China, South East Asia and in U.S. He has taught Taiji and Traditional Chinese Qigong Internal Healing practices since 1982.
